Mainstream Schools with Blind Resource Centers

If you can’t decide between mainstream school and a specialist school then mainstream schools teamed with a blind resource center may be the place for your child. These institutions typically have special equipment and adaptations that Visual Impaired children would utlise. It would also mean that your child will mix with not only sighted children but visually impaired children also.

This page gives details of schools and colleges which have a resource-base for visually impaired pupils. The term ‘resource-based school’ can be used to describe any mainstream school (or college) that has a specialist visually impaired resource/support center for blind or partially sighted pupils.
