Blind Children UK attends Sight Village and a range of other events to network with other charities, meet professionals such as QTVIs and local authority and sensory teams and chat to families with a child with visual impairment. At a recent event, we met a couple who’d driven four hours to attend in a desperate search for some support. Their child has just been diagnosed the week before and they didn’t know where to turn. We were able to link them up with our Family Support service for advice, a listening ear and practical help.
