Science Museum VI Discovery Day

_Q3I0087The Science Museum is holding a VIscovery day on Sunday the 10th April where events shall be held for families with members who are visually impaired, partially sighted or blind.

All events are free and are suitable for children aged 7 and over, with the exception of our adults only tour of the Information Age Gallery for any interested adults.

The day’s events haven’t been finalised yet, however we are looking to hold:

  • A touch tour and Audio Description of the Science Show ‘Destination Space’
‘3, 2, 1 blast off! Join us on a journey through space in this fast-paced show! Help us explode some rocket fuelled bubbles, melt some marshmallows, and learn all about the challenges of space in this free interactive family show’
  • An immersive, interactive storytelling experience with a nautical theme.
  • Object handling of some of the objects in the Information Age Gallery.
  • Adult Information Age Gallery tours.

_Q3I0129I will be in touch in the near future to confirm events and timings; I just wanted to let you know now so you could save the date!

Events will be individually bookable so that families get the most personal interactive experience possible so make sure you sign up when further information is sent out!

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact my colleague Imogen Small at imogen.small@sciencemuseum.ac.uk who will be organising the events going forward.
