What do we care about at Sight and Sound?

Sight and sound logoWe care about making a difference to our customers, specifically through knowledge, care, and understanding and this is why we exhibit at Sight Village five times a year. Sight Village we find is the best time to hone our understanding. Being on the other side of a telephone or a computer for the majority of our customer interactions we find Sight Village a great opportunity to get as many of our team out as possible to meet and greet the people they are talking to and helping everyday. Talking first hand with our customers at these events, we have found, allows us to gather a better understanding about their wants and needs and any problems or issues they are having with the software and hardware we provide. We will quite often pass this feedback straight on to the manufacturers so the next version of their product can iron out any issues.

So really the main reason we exhibit at Sight Village every year is for the important face to face time we get with those we aim to serve. Sight Village is a great event for promoting everything that is on offer for those with a visual impairment, it doesn’t matter how much vision you have, from half to none whatsoever – there is always something new and interesting to find at Sight Village.

Sight Village is also a great opportunity for us to show off the fantastically innovative products that are trickling into the blind and visually impaired marketplace. This year we have a great new product from Freedom Scientific to show everyone, the Topaz PHD. Essentially it is a portable desktop magnifier, it folds up into a suitcase style carry and once unfolded serves as a near-view magnifier, very useful for those with a visual impairment who are also quite mobile – such as students and professionals.
